Bed room idea !

Bed Room

Our private sanctuaries where we retreat to every night and escape the stresses of the outside world. Throughout our lives, our bedrooms are intimate and personal spaces where we first learned to sleep alone, where we first learned to not sleep alone, where we wrote our deepest thoughts and hid them under the mattress, where it was ok to talk to ourselves out loud and where we all probably made our first design decisions. Beyond bed skirts and bolsters, see how great design decisions turn into great design ideas.

5 Bedroom Style TipsChances are, you spend a lot of time in your bedroom. But if your bedroom has become unbearable and is no longer providing a place to relax and unwind, you might want to check out these 5 bedroom style tips.

1. Keep it Clear

Clutter can be a major source of stress in the home. It can irritate the eye and make it frustrating to find missing items. In the bedroom, a cluttered space creates a sense of chaos and can really prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep.

Begin by removing any items that don’t belong in the bedroom. Next, clear the floor and find a home for everything you touch. While you’re at it, go through your wardrobe and remove any items you haven’t work in a year. Then reorganise things so that every item has a home and is easy to reach. The trick is keeping the room uncluttered – this is where a professional organiser can help.

2. Splurge on Comfort

We all like to save money around the home, but there are some items you just shouldn’t scrimp on. Buy the best bedding you can afford and aim for quality cotton or linen; it really will make a difference to your time in bed.

Accessories are an area where you can go budget – check out discount stores and second-hand shops for cheap and chic lamps, bedside tables, picture frames and vases

3. Pick a Colour, Any Colour

Ever walked into a boldly-painted bedroom and felt overwhelmed or claustrophobic? Aside from clutter, it was probably due to the wall paint.

It’s best to pick a colour for your bedroom that’s neutral and can be enhanced through the use of colourful accessories, bedding and furniture. A neutral tone will also keep modern, so you won’t need to repaint it as trends change.

4. Theme it

A great way to add the ‘wow factor’ to your bedroom is to work with a theme. It doesn’t have to be an obvious one, just something that pulls all the elements of the room together. Think Parisian boudoir, seaside cottage or minimalist chic. Then go shopping and look for items that complement this theme without going overboard!

5. Experiment With Bed Heads

Bed heads are still very much in vogue, as they are a relatively inexpensive and versatile way to change up the look of your bedroom. A giant block of quality wood, a Perspex sheet or cushioned canvas are easy to install behind the bed and add a lot of interest.
